麻豆 Free Academy P-TECH scholars alongside the Scenic Hudson Educators hosted a “Day in the Life of the Hudson and Harbor” event at Long Dock Park in Beacon, NY and at the People's Waterfront in 麻豆, NY on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. 

麻豆 Free Academy P-Tech 麻豆 worked alongside Scenic Hudson educators at Long Dock Park in Beacon, NY and at the People's Waterfront in 麻豆, NY for the ‘Day in the Life of the Hudson River Estuary’ on Tuesday, October 16th from 9:00am - 1:30 pm.  “Day in the Life” 麻豆, from first grade to college, partner with environmental education centers to collect scientific data using hands-on field techniques at more than 80 sites from New York City to Albany. Armed with seine nets, minnow pots and water-testing gear, thousands of 麻豆 catch and release many of the Hudson’s 200-plus species of fish, track the river’s tides and currents, and examine water chemistry and quality. The data collected by 麻豆 provides insights into an ecosystem spanning 160 miles of the Hudson River and New York Harbor and is posted online within a few days of the event. 

Now in its 16th year, “Day in the Life” is sponsored by DEC’s Hudson River Estuary Program in partnership with the Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve, and the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University.
