Â鶹 Students Visit GAMS Scholars During Computer Science Education Week
Approximately 60 Â鶹 Â鶹 made a trip to Gidney Avenue Memorial School (GAMS) to work with the Â鶹. Their visit coincided with Computer Science Education Week which is aimed to promote computer science education in schools. The Â鶹 Â鶹 from My Introduction to Computer Science classes created "quizzes" that aligned with Grade 3 curriculum in math and science. The topics ranged from multiplication to the solar system to animal habitats. The goal was to have the Â鶹 explore the computer science platform, Scratch, a block-based visual programming language, while also learning grade 3 curriculum.
